No surprises in that article. It's all pretty much common sense, if you ask me.
One thing I'd like to comment on though. The author says people never, ever read the terms of their card contracts. Well, I do read it the first time! I'll have to admit I do not always read the contract changes that come along, but only the summary of the change, which of course is always something unfavorable to me. But I do not think the CC issuers really want us to understand what we are agreeing to. I believe that is why they send the terms in such tiny, compressed print. They want to discourage the reading of it.

True, plus they want to save on paper, production, and postage costs.
