Piles of old coins have been found in a hole in the wall of a long-abandoned Somerset County home, confirming a rumor that the family used to throw money in the walls.

Jeff Bidelman, who owns a collectibles store near Johnstown, says he was helping the family clean out the house after the death of the owners, who had not lived there for two decades.
