I love reading the specifics of other people's financial situations, and comparing them to mine.

In this article, they say that while the couple, now in early 40s, will have a million by age 55, when he wants to retire, it woudl be depleted in 25 years, based on withdrawing $5,000 a month (plus 3% inflation and 8% growth).

I'm just one person with likely that million by that time, and i sure don't think i'll need to withdrawa $5,000 a month (or $60K a year) in retirement, especially with no mortgage. Plus no kids' college to worry about.

The big unknown for me is health chare costs, and of course, the performance of the stock market.
