Commissioner Has car Repossessed

A Lake County commissioner's car was repossessed because the county stopped making monthly payments on the lease.
Commissioner Rudy Clay said the county wanted to buy the 2003 Jeep Liberty it had leased from Chrysler Financial but was unable to get an invoice showing how much money it still owed.
Commission bookkeeper Geraldine Stamps told the Post-Tribune of Merrillville that it "didn't make any sense" to continue making payments. She said she finally sent the September payment on Tuesday, even though she still had not received an invoice... Entire Story Here |
