I would also return it intact. As a preteen I had cash stolen from my purse I left in a dressing room for less than one minute before I realized I left it. I was devastated.

I returned a wallet to mall security about three years ago when I noticed it sitting on a concrete block at a mall. It was thick but I didn't open it to see what was inside. I don't know, it's not that I'm so angelic, but spending another person's money and using gifts that belong to someone else seems to be such a desperate thing to do, the same kind of desperation that causes people to overspend. This mentality is what creates rampant consumerism and the notion that external sources are what bring us validity and joy. If I've learned anything, it's that real wealth comes from within.

I have had my wallet stolen this summer with $400 in it. Yeah I know I shouldn't have had that much in there, however, I could have cared less about the $400 (kinda) I really just wanted everything else that was in there back. I know I was dumb, It is just really a pain to call in all your cards stolen , and get a new ID and insurance card......The list goes on and on.
With that said I would return it, no questions asked.

Talking Re: How Honest Are You?

2 Days before Christmas, my 7 year old daughter and I found a purse on the floor at Wal-mart. At first I looked around the area where we were to see if their were and woman with out a purse in their carts. Then we took it up to the customer service and as we were in line I just so happend to turn around and saw a woman talking to one of the greeters about loosing her purse. So I walked up told and told them we found one and asked if was hers. It was.

I didnt ever bother to look inside to check. I don't like people looking in my purse, so I thought it would be better for a store employee to do it.

She gave my daughter $2.00 for finding it, I tried to give it back and she insisted that be her reward. Luckly I found and returned it because she sad, she has just cashed her paycheck and was on her way to pay her mortage at the bank after her stop to Wal-mart.

Next time I hope she gets a check or money order and not carry all that cash on her.

I just hope that one day if that ever happened to me that someone will repay my favor and return my purse (with all my belongings) to me.

I lost my wallet riding my bike at a local state park. SOme kind gentleman returned it with all the money and items intact. Furthermore he would take on reward. I think most people are like that. I have found tow wallets over the years and both times returned it intact.

You reap what you sow is my firm belief!
