Default Man Chops Down Utility Pole For Copper Wire

A 47-year-old man accused chopping down a utility pole to steal its copper wiring was charged with misdemeanor criminal trespass. He also faces several felony charges.

Alden Kaupiko was scheduled to appear in court Monday. His bail was set at $1,000. He also faces charges of second-degree property damage, criminal tampering and fourth-degree theft...

Police said he was allegedly attempting steal copper wiring from a transformer. Forty pounds of wiring was recovered...

OMG this is happening where I LIVE!!!!

one of my bosses just came in the office and her rental property was broken into and DEMOLISHED: these folks riped out every bit of copper in that house (electrical, plumbing, wiring, even their electrical meter!!!). according to the sherrif's deputies this is something that's happened a few times over the past weeks.

so, for those who have a vacant property (and this one was only vacated 2 days ago!!!), you might want to keep a close eye on it.

This is a huge problem! In North Carolina illegal alliens are stripping copper from utility poles everywhere. Unfortunately, many are killed doing it. It is a huge problem.
