Citigroup has introduced the "Citi Home Rebate Platinum Select MasterCard" which offers a 1% rebate on all purchases that goes toward paying off the principal of your home mortgage. The appealing aspect is that there is no annual or lifetime cap on how much qualifies which for those who know the Advantages of Credit Cards can put those rebates to good use. For those carrying a balance on their cards, however, you would be much smarter putting the rebated money toward your credit card balance than your mortgage. If you use your credit card responsible (meaning pay off your balances each month) it might be nice one to help pay down your mortgage.

As for me I will stick with using no credit cards for now!
