Default New $10 Bill With Color

You should begin seeing a new, more colorful $10 in the coming days as the Federal reserve will begin shipping them today to commercial banks. From there they will be dispersed to retail outlets and you will likely begin seeing them by next week.

The new $10 bill, like the $50 bill and $20 bill before it, features color for the first time including shades of orange, yellow and red. The color is an attempt by the Bureau of Engraving and Printing to stay one step ahead of counterfeiters and ever-more sophisticated copying machines which makes copying the current single colored bill quite easy.

The new $10 bill continues to feature Alexander Hamilton on the front and the Treasury building on the back side. A new addition is the State of Liberty's torch and "We the People" in red to the right of Hamilton. In addition there are new small yellow10s and a subtle orange background.

That's my thought as well, CJ. With our federal deficit, it seems downright stupid to be spending this kind of money just to redesign money (I could almost see it for the larger bills, this is supposed to be more counterfeit proof, but $10 bills are supposed to be worth too little to counterfeit).
