Default My $20 challenge

I am going to start a separate thread for my progress. I have to have my computer guy install a new dvd rom into my computer and swap my old cd rom into the kids and install some ram into mine so I am out of a computer for the next 24 hours or so. However, I am looking around for some things to put on ebay and will be taking pictures and getting those ready. Will deduct the cost of the fees from the 20 since the products are already mine and won't need to be purchased. For informational purposes only, I already own a digital camera. So no cost for that. If anyone wishes to view my auctions to see what I am doing my username is the same as here.

It costs $10 to open an account with ING? i think you decided to deposit $10 to open the account, but you can withdraw it in the future, right? So it didn't cost you anything to open the account. You just moved money around or did I miss something?

I opened the ING account to achieve a bonus. I am not certain what the minimum opening balance was. once they put the bonus in my account I will be adding that to the total. Which at that time will also return the $10. But until I receive the bonus I am not claiming the $10 since I used it to get the bonus. If I was simply opening an account that would be different at least to me. I did it only because of the bonus.

In case you didn't know, you can't take the bonus money out for 30 days. Also, there's no minimum balance required, so you may want to keep the account open with $1, so you'll be able to get referral $$. For each person you refer, they get $25 and you get $10. If you have a husband, kids, and/or significant other, you can open up accounts for each of them for $1 and get $35 back for each.

we opened one for each kid, had to have a social security number for them, but they each got 25 and we got 10 for each. Was actually pretty easy once we sat down and did it

The Driver's License number may not be mandatory. Try leaving it out. If you still have trouble, call or email them. Coincidentally, I sent them an email this morning and received a reply within an hour...their customer service seems quite good.

You could do it yourself, but if you are referred the referrer also makes a little dough. I think there's a referral for the website, should you so choose.

You would need an invite (to get the signup bonus anyway, I don't think they give it to you otherwise?) So if you know someone w.an account, ask them to email you an invite (they also get a reward), or if you want an invite, let me know.

Okay, update.
Previous balance: 11.55
Money currently in ING account including the $10 used to start account: $40.01
Current Balance: 51.56

So far I have more than doubled my money. Weird what you can do when you actually put forth the effort. Hopefully will see more this weekend. I can't touch the money in the ing account for 30 days (at least the bonus) But I don't plan on touching it at all.

Okay, went to an auction this weekend and purchased a few items. I am only going to deduct the cost of my purchases from this that I intend to resell on ebay. I purchased a beautiful decanter set that is from France. It looks like a barrel with a place for the liquid to come out. There are 6 ceramic cups that are hung off the side of it. Apparently you can actually put liquid in it and use it but I am not going to test it. This cost me $2. I also purchased a pitcher that is sort of rough on the exterior with a gorgeous design. This was $1. And finally there are two gold plated roses in vases that were $1. These are all going to be listed tonight on ebay when I get home. please feel free to browse my auctions to see how I am attempting to accomplish this challenge. Once I have listed them I will deduct the fees.

Previous Balance: 51.56
Auction purchases: 4.00
