Okay, pitcher did not sell. bummer. still have two more to go. hope they will go. I prefer to not list too many at one time so will wait until they are done before listing any more!

well, the decanter didn't go either, but it did have two watchers so I may relist it. I may have to figure out different ways to make this money grow.

Okay, I am really having a bad Ebay week! the roses didn't go either. Maybe I need to consider another route. If anyone would like to go and view my auctions to determine if I need to do something to make them more appealing I am very open to suggestions. I already accept paypal, money orders , no checks though.

Nothing to really report today just wanted to stay on top of it. I am planning on posting some this weekend on ebay, though not sure that is a good area these days. Perhaps some of my vhs tapes will go on half.com. we will see. I haven't been to an auction recently so have nothing new to list from that.

Current update: I have purchased and listed items on ebay. I will wait until the end of the auction to list the costs and profits, it was a little confusing for me last time. Nothing has sold on half.com either. I listed 2 pair Levi, 1 pair carhartt and some nintendo games. Hopefully these will all go. My jeans usually sell very well. I have been notified that Shareholder will be giving me my bonus so once I get that I will add it. I am assuming that I can withdraw the bonus?

I have a bid on the carhartt's already and two watchers on the levi's. Sure hope they go! I have not accomplished what all I wanted with this challenge but I have learned alot from this challenge. Basically it helps to be motivated.

HOWEVER, I did make a purchase to increase the money.
I purchased 30 play station games
Previous balance: 52.12
Cost of games plus shipping: 58.90
So I am at a negative -6.78

But I am really hopeful that I will be able to triple my money. I think I got a really good deal.

Our local newspaper in its 'wisdom' stopped publishing the stock market pages except for sunday. They do publish a small section stocks of local interest on a daily basis (I know I could find stuff on line, but then I would get obsessive about checking it). So I picked a stock that I'm familiar with the company, it is listed daily in our paper, pays a dividend (so my shares will grow), and I've seen it talked about in Money magazine as a good stock. I want to work my way up to 10 shares of it, then go for 10 shares of the next one, etc. until I have about 7-8 stocks from different sectors. Totally unscientific, but I'm in this for the long haul and I look forward to watching them grow or not . Hopefully in 10-15 years I'll be able to say look what happens when you invest the 'free' money that comes your way.

By the way we do have other investments towards retirement. If I thought this was our total savings program, I would be a lot more careful and stressed about how I was investing this money.

Hope this gives you some ideas.

Gail

I have sold a couple of items will get around to posting them this week. However I believe what this experiment taught me was that no matter what earning money is time consuming and you are not going to do it over night (or in a few months time to the degree that we attempted) and that is based solely on the challenge of taking the $20 and making $5000 with that money. In my case I bought and resold. I did make some by doing the ing thing. but I have learned what I already knew, takes hard work.
