now this is weird!
jeffery's post today about money soap as the proper picture showing up, and the url for the photo is
Code:
http://blogs.savingadvice.com/image.php?blog=personal-finance&id=981&original=1
now, when you look at the summary of all posts at
http://blogs.savingadvice.com/all_entries.php?page=2 the picture in the summary of jeffery's post is DIFFERENT than the one showing in his blog (this one is a weird looking cat thing).
the url given for this weirdo picture is
Code:
http://blogs.savingadvice.com/image.php?blog=&id=981&original=1
, but when you CLICK on the picture, it takes you to the correct page showing the correct 'money in soap' picture.
my guess about how this system is working is when a picture gets uploaded it gets labeled and assigned its very own page. the software then creates a 'thumbnail' (simply meaning a resized version of the original photo rather than an actual tiny little thumbnail) based on this picture and it's new name, and the 'thumbnail' is what gets put into the post or the all posts summary page.
so i'm wondering, jeff & nate, if the issue we're seeing isn't that the incorrect picture is getting placed in folks blogs (i.e. photo ID number 981 isn't actually the money in soap picture), but that the 'thumbnail' your system is creating is getting named weirdly and therefore isn't showing the proper image in some places where it's used (i.e. the summary page for all posts, or the original post itself).
dunno, just struck me as funny that jeff's blog got hit by the weirdo picture issue...
