The option to put up links should be available within the next week or so. This will allow you to place your favorite sites in the side bar as well as an area. If you link to other sites, all we ask is that you ask the owner of that site to link back to your blog or the main page. Not all will, but the more links we get back here, the more popular the blogs will become, the better they will show up in search engines which will mean more people looking for financial help will find quality information. We hope that all of you will be willing to help Nate and I out with this task.

In addition, on the lower portion of your site, Nate and I will be co-opting a few links on all the blogs. These links we will trade with other sites to link back to the main page - this is for the benefit of all as most of these will be other financially related blogs out there and will bring more interested readers to the blogs here. While we don't anticipate that there will be any problems, if for some reason you really are against one of the links we put up, simply email us and we will move it to another page.

If there are sites that you want to link to but you don't feel comfortable asking the blogger or webmaster to trade links, simply let me know and I will do so for you.

Can I put a link to the kids school page there? (I would gladly put a link back, don't think it will help much though, I already recomend this place to all my friends! ) but if you would rather not advertise mykids I wont.

Yes, once the link area is up, you will be free to link to your other projects and of course a link back would be appreciated - links do more than just allow more people to come to the site - they also help with search engines. The more links you have to a site, the better it shows up in search engine results which brings more people to the site.

I added a couple of links to my blog and a link to the main blog homepage on DivaTribe. Nice option

K one site I frequent for education, is well big, like I have no idea how to get in touch with the owners. starfall.com has great free reading help. I also don't know that they link to anything (one of the best things is the lack of ads)

Not a problem. We don't expect that every site will link back and if you feel it is a good resource, then by all means link to them.

Dumb sortof related, but useless, question, do search engines care if the links are in emails? or yahoo groups? Or just 'real' webpages?

If you have it in your signature in your mail, it doesn't help with search engines, but does bring more traffic to whatever site you put there since anyone you email will see that link.

Don't worry if you can't get the trades - they are tough to pull off, but it never hurts to let them know you are linking to them.
