Save big money with Long distance moving company

I heard about movers who leave a 28ft. trailer at your house for a few days, you load it up and they pick it up and drive it to your new location. Once at the new location, they drop the trailer off and give you a couple of days to unload. This seems like a pretty inexpensive way to move if you are able to do the packing and loading and don't want to do the driving.

And it is a new way to move long distance. It’s called “Self-Service Moving/Do it your self moving.” Instead of paying a full service Moving truck company to pack and load your household goods, do it yourself and save big money on your move. You still receive a professional truck and driver to transport your possessions to the destination, but at an affordable price that doesn’t change based on weight.

if anyone used this method before please share your opinions. I would say this is one of the best way to save money with Long distance moving.

Welcome to the site Andrew. Kind of you to offer help in your 1st posting. Are you considering moving cross country?

While Pac & Load will be less expensive it has potential be be more costly if you don't know the 'tricks of the trade' in packing down the pod, using the space most effectively, keeping furnishing and boxes tight and without damage loading up, off loading, during transport etc.

By the time you get your stuff at destination expect to be exhausted. Use as many friends/colleagues as you can muster. Don't worry about unpacking and setting up more than the bed and essentials to get to work. The set up can be spread out for weeks until you really understand your space. What you use, where you use it and how often it's used.
