Default Save Money Monthly

I find the best way to save money is by changing my lifestyle, spending habits, and bills I have to pay so less comes out of my pocket each month. Some of these include eating out less, save electricity, water, and natural gas. Refinancing any home or auto loans to get better rates and therefore lower payments. And one of the best is to keep all credit cards paid off. That way your money is paying off things for you, rather than as interest to the card companies. So the key is to SaveMoneyMonthly.

Default I Totally Agree

And I think the best way to tackle debt is to 1. reduce spending go bare bones so to speak and 2. increase income, by reducing spending and possibly by taking on a 2nd job. It can seem a bit drastic I know but I've heard many stories of people paying off $30,000 in debt in a matter of a couple years doing this!

Having a goal sheet is a good idea. I go to public auctions and garage sales to buy a good deal, then sell it on allgo.com. I make some extra money and use it towards my debt. I'm going to start a goal sheet though....thanks.

Default Pay Yourself First

Just pay yourself first, before you pay any bills. It's amazing how building a budget and paying yourself before anyone else can get you started on the right track!

I know this may sound drastic, but canceling cable and going with the free converter box channels can save you big!

My wife and I track our debt on a spreadsheet and this helped create a view of what debt we have.

Does anyone know of an application to track debt and if so, what features did you like?

Saving money every month may require you to painfully re-think your priorities and to change some long-standing habits. Habits have a way of becoming necessities and it can sometimes be hard to convince ourselves that we don't really need something that we've become accustomed to, but as times change, so must our habits too if we are going to learn to save money every month.

Yes! Pay yourself first. Try to put away at least 10% of your pre-tax income into a savings account.

I would like to share my logic regarding monthly saving. IF you want to increase your monthly saving then not only deduct your expenses but also increase in investments. Les expenses + more investments that results in more returns and thus ultimately your savings will grow.

Regards,
Conan

We can save on these accounts also:
*Purchasing habits – Think twice about the necessity and alternatives before buying
*Cooking habits – Cook various meals at one time, cook in covered utensils, cook soaked items
* commuting bills: make a pool to go to the office, so using a car for its full capacity
