I'm not much of a gardener. In fact, I used to tease my daughter and tell her I have a purple thumb, NOT a green one. "Daddy"is the gardener. However...when my beloved mimosa tree was ailing, I decided to experiment and lo and behold, cured it of a terrible fungus problem, merely by using food grade hydrogen peroxide (You can use store bought; I just didn't want to put any chemicals in the earth and the over the counter stuff has some chemicals in it). I watered it using the peroxide (I purchased 35%and diluted it in half to 17%; then started with about 20 drop of it in an empty gallon water bottle). I also sprayed the trunk and branches. If you use the store bought it is 3%. Try a 1:4 solution.
Not only did it cure the mold and fungus problem, it flourished more than ever. The first year, it just stabilized, but by the second there were many more flowers than ever before. Last year was the third year since the problem, and the flowers bloomed throughout the entire summer! The tree is 15 years old and has never looked better.
I know use it on all our plants and have earned the title of Green Thumb in the house!
