Default No need to buy wrapping paper w/ Kids either

Depending on what kind of paper you have around you can have your dc's decorate the paper before you wrap a gift. We've used whaterver we've had around the house including paper bags. MIL loves it

Do you inside out rolls of say birthday paper for Christmas and let them decorate it or do you have other kinds of paper on hand?

I still love the ole classic wrapping papers of comic from the newspapers for birthday’s gifts.

One of my other favorite is making an envelope from the calendar page for a nice handwritten letter to hand out for personal surprise. I suppose that can work for a small gift or stocking stuffers.

The thought of using the paper bags is a good idea though... I will definably use that as brown paper can match a "nature" theme and use pinecones or something to decorate it with. Perfect for adult Christmas gift! Thanks for that idea.

For smaller gifts we use normal 8*11 paper decorated, for medium gifts we use a larger size 'finger paint paper' and for big stuff we use the brown paper bag decorated.

Also around christmas we recieve some decorated lunch bags, we use them to wrap stuff too.

Now that my kids can decorate I refuse to buy another roll of paper

Default try wallpaper

I use leftover wallpaper to wrap gifts. You can often find rolls of wallpaper at second-hand stores if you don't have any around. For small gifts, I use wallpaper sheets from sample books. I have gone to stores and asked for old wallpaper sample books. They are usually glad to have someone take them off their hands, and they would normally go to the landfill, anyway.

You can also use wallpaper to cover kids' school books. Much sturdier than the paper ones.

If any of your children have any rubber stamps (to use with ink pads or paint), you can do some lovely design on brown paper )or bas as mentioned) or white shelf paper.

I have enen just drawn on white paper. Have fun!
