Default Health and Technology Stocks..Got $500 to start up with?

I am looking for reasonable stocks in Health and Technology area....with lower or no loads or transaction fees, maintanance fees...or maybe cheaper rates...etc. I guess I will be buying as a direct purchase.

I have $500 I would like to spread out there and spread my investment.

Thank you.

Look at VHT (health care index ETF) and VGT (information tech index ETF). Expenses are 0.22% and you would only have to pay the commission on the trade, which can be free or very cheap depending on the brokerage.
