Default Is a stock trading system really profitable?

There are a few things that always keep me thinking…… there are many online trading systems that demand to be profitable in all the ways as one can be .Do they really work or they are just for ones own profit . Do they make you profitable in the stock market; provide you with great tips…..I would like to use one. If you people have any know about this, then please let me know about them.

Their profit depends upon the profit you made if they really want to run business for a long time. Still I would suggest you to go with reputed online trading systems those are in this business for a long time.

Welcome Alexandria.

Most brokerages make their money through commissions, so the more people trade, the more profitable it is for them regardless of whether YOU make money or not.

For stock picking to be profitable for you, well, it typically requires a lot of research on your part. And I don't think it's something one should just jump right into.

Stock picking is one way of investing, but it's not necessarily the best way and it's certainly not the only way.

I don't consider stock picking to be novice friendly. I recommend mutual funds instead. However, if you still find that stock picking best fits your investment style, Sharebuilder is highly recommend for its friendliness and guidance to its users.

Alexandria20: NO trading systems are not profitable. If they were profitable do you think people would be selling their trading system to anyone else. It is just a big marketing pitch to scam people into buying the system. The thing that attracts people to trading systems is that there is according to the marketing no thinking involved. Just sit there and the computer makes money for you. This is just another scam that sounds to good to be true and thus is not true.

I agree completely.

In fact, I was a bit suspicious that OP might be a troll for one of these companies trying to stir up interest. I apologize if that is incorrect but when I see a first-time poster asking about something fairly esoteric, I get suspicious.

For non-professionals, the short answer is always no.

Look it is pretty obvious that people who would advertise their own products will make it sure that they say that their products are the best in the market. Some are really worth the investment where as some tempt you with offers that you fail to resist.Insurance and Mutual funds are investments that are meant to provide you with long term dividends,so it would be better that you opt for a trading system that provides you the same instead of choosing and investing upon a system that reaps you short term profits. But then at the end of every promotion there is a message that crops up and tells you that "Mutual Funds investments are subjected to market risks, please read the offer document properly before investing."So you have got to be carefull regarding that. The rest is fine.
