Default Saving money for daughter

I want to start saving some money for my daughter and need some advice.
I went to my bank(Chase) and opened a savings account, but I think I can put it some where better where it can grow. The money is not really for her going to college or any thing special, but it can be used for that I guess. I'm going to be adding 300 a month to it for about 20 years..

Thanks for the advice.

Look at a mutual fund.

Maybe something like PRPFX
or maybe something more aggressive.
