I will be buying into 2 mutual funds on March 1st as I do every month. I will be holding my stocks for now. My accounts lost around $1700 in value yesterday, so I didn't take a huge wack. I'm in it for the long term anyway, so I'm taking it in stride.

LOL! That's pretty much exactly what I did. Although I'm thinking about buying more.

Nothing, all my "eggs" are in my 401k at work in a mutual fund. Just for the heck of it I checked, I lost 3% yesterday. Ouch! Oh well, I'm not retireing for 30 years, so the market is bound to go down at some point! Besides, I was up 15% for 2006, so I really can't complain!

I'm searching every rathole for cash that I can use to buy while stuff is ON SALE!!

I'm with tinapbeana on this one, as I'm a long-term investor and try not to get too emotionally involved with the swinging tides.

I shrugged my shoulders and moved on, the same as if I had gained the same amount in one day, it just doesn't matter to me (the increases and drops in my Roth IRA), I'm planning on working for another 30 years, I don't see a need to worry.

Unless of course my account was lowered by 90% or something.

I finally broke down and bought shares with the cash sitting in the brokerage account. Currently the emergency fund is healthy enough that I can "freeze" (unliquify?) some cash that was earning me very little interest. It had been in the back of my mind that it needed to happen and the market dip was a good reminder to go ahead and buy.

I said "Man, I'm not touching my investments for 42+ years," checked the Roth and 401K for the heck of it, and went to bed.

Default What I Bought

I picked up 20 more shares of Altria (MO)
I picked up 30 shares of Arch Coal (ACI)

My $$ is transfered into my 401K every week, so I did that too.

i already fully funded my Roth for 07, so that's done and i'm all tapped out, no free $$ to invest.

i wish i didn't have to look at my accounts, but will do so when TRP sends in the statement, should be in a few days...

I railed against the gods, consoled myself with the thought that I'd be buying cheap shares for a while, and then went about my day.

Ho hum.

I picked up more shares today too. I bought them for the price of December 29, 2006 price.

I didn't look for two days to keep myself from getting in a panic....not that I really would. When I did look, it wasn't too bad. I will our regular roth investments in mid march as usual and hope that there is still a sale!!
