Thumbs down Bank of America - Online Site and Support Sucks

Called support for a problem I was having and they were talking down to me like I was some type of idiot. They have no answers to any of my questions and just repeat the same old line, no one else is having problems we can't do anything for you.

My problem is that I receive emails for account balances, transfers, etc. a day before they post to my summary.

So for instance..
I'll get a email notification for a $1000 withdrawn from my account.
Now, If I log into my online Account Summary the withdrawal does not show up till a day later.
Also, If I call up customer support they can not find any info on the withdrawn amount either, That's ridiculous!!
So basically my online account summary is updated a day late.
This cause me to bounce a check and now I'm stuck paying a fee.

Looks like BOA is going bye bye.

I said bye bye to Boa a few months ago. <actually is was more like good riddance!>
You might try asking to speak to a supervisor when you call customer support.
It will make your wait longer, but you might get better service.

this is true. i bank with them and hate it. they are on the corner of my block and access is easy. otherwise you are correct, they suck. i thought about changing banks, just don't want to have to uproot my automatic deposits and withdrawals again. they suck though. and charge fees that other banks don't.!!!!!

This is not the first thread about poor service at BoA! I wonder what they are thinking about alienating so many people! Go figure!

Only until it buys the bank that you end up switching to.

I closed my Bank of America account December 23, 2006.
I was told there was a $45.00 charge pending to my account. I said it was for my safe deposit box. I cleared out my box with the aid of a Service Representative, and they had me and my husband fill out paperwork, so they must have known we were serious.

Then I told a Personal Banker I had to close my account because my account was no longer acceptable to David S. Vasquez, senior Vice President.

Today I received a Safe Deposit Box Statement, postmarked 12/28, from Bank of America, informing me my account will be charged 1/22/2007. Yes, the account I closed will be charged for the safe deposit box I am no longer renting.

I thought that by law, they had to let you speak to a supervisor.

Well, that's not fair they wouldn't let you speak to a supervisor.
I thought it would against the law for a bank to reopen an account, but don't know for sure.
If it is, it didn't stop BOA from "reopening" a savings account I had with them.
They even said that's what they did when they had 27 cents interest to give me.
It's all so stupid that they would put this 27 cents into a closed account, then turn around and take my 27 cents and add a monthly "fee". I complained loudly when I recieved a statement from them after having closed the account.
Since they have now sent me a check for a whopping 27 cents which they should have done in the first place, I feel confident my account with them is really closed this time for good. I certainly hope so. Thumbs down to BOA!

I must be the only person that likes Bank of America. Their bill pay works like a charm. I had a payment get to the vendor late, by my own fault. BofA called the vendor with me to confirm the correct payment instructions, then when the vendor wouldnt budge still refunded the late fees to me as a customer service gesture. They dont pull the cash till the check or ACH clears. My balances are always accurate and my deposits into emigrant and ing clear a day later then when I start getting interest at the savings accounts.
