Default Amboy Account Problems

Is anyone else having problems with Amboy's on-line access? I haven't been able to get into my account since they "upgraded" their security. I keep getting this message:

An Error Has Occurred Communicating With The PremierEcorp Application Server (20061212.060921968.2088)

I'm thinking of transferring the money I have there (if I can ever get to it) to my ING account. I like their website much better and it's a whole lot easier to use.

I helped my parents set up an account with Amboy several months ago and have had no problems since. Including just now, after I read your message, when I was able to log in as usual.

Did you log in from this page: http://www.amboydirect.com

Thanks Poundwise! It worked here from work this time. Maybe it was something to do with my computer at home?

Beware of Amboy, I transferred my $$ out three weeks into the month and they state I forfeited the accrued interest. I am filing a complaint with the OCC and am considering a class action lawsuit.

Any other people have similar problems?

If you are closing out all of your money, I think that you do forfeit the interest. I did the same thing at my brink and mortar bank. You can transfer money out and still receive interest. I guess if you kept the minimum there; they couldn't do that. You could just transfer the rest out right after the statement date knowing that you'd lose your interest.

This is really pretty standard in the industry.

I'm sorry to be the one to say so but your complaint is frivolous and your lawsuit is baseless.

Not only is this a common practice it is also spelled out clearly in the terms of the account.
