Question Linking GMAC and ING

Can you link those two together or has anyone tried? I called GMAC and they told me that they do have ING customer who linked their accounts there, but that I should double check with ING first. I called ING and they said that they will not link to MMA, only personal checking. Their reason, MMA has limited number of transactions and if I exceed it, the account may be closed. But their requirement for linking account is base on the check. Does a MMA check look the same as the regular check? Because if it is then I'm hoping to sneak it in and see if they'll process it. It would save a ton of trouble if I can transfer fund directly between them as oppose to going through a third account.

I don't know about ING, but I had no problem linking my GMAC account to my several other accounts, including checking at my local bank and a Fidelity investment account. I've done online transfers both ways and everything worked fine. GMAC checks looks the same as regular checks, it just says "Insured Savings" on them. Try linking GMAC to your ING account; you're not risking anything. If it doesn't work, you'll just have to do a transfer through a third account.

Link the GMAC to ING. I have that setup already. Just transfer funds to and from with the gmac account.
