LOL Sweeps!

Today was a far better experience logging on than yesterday. Emigrant's new site is nice, just like I thought it would be!

If my recent experiences are any indication, the performance issues with ED's new site seem to have been resolved. 5.15% APY beginning tomorrow. Yay.

I tried to do a transfer from my ED to my linked account today but I do not have the option of transferring. I have been with ED for eight months and over this time found customer service to be very poor. After 3 calls, they did a manual transfer. I will be closing my account with these guys if they do not get their act together by tomorrow. I have also found out that when I opened my account that emailing them is a waste of time. I am somewhat reluctant to go back to ING's lower interest, but they are much more competent and professional. I also see at Bankrate that ED gets only 2 stars "below industry average".

If I were not happy with ED, I would consider one of the other many, higher yielding, alternatives to ING.

I have just closed my ED account. They still have not gotten their act together. Has anyone had trouble using the transfer function? I was not able to transfer.
The CSR told me that they had launched their new website on Monday and were still having some problems. I reminded him that this is now the 5th day and that this was totally unacceptable and no way to run an internet bank. Customer service is pathetic, on two occasions I was assured someone would call me. For the meantime I will go back to ING Direct who I've never had trouble with. Unfortunately, at the moment they are only at 4.35%. My guess is that ED have lost a lot of customers over the past week.

I was just coming here to post that I did a one-time balance transfer last night on the new ED website with no problems at all. I found it to be much better than the old site.

I finally successfully got on. Still no reply e-mail from 4 days ago. I'm taking a wait and see attitude.

I haven't had any more problems getting into ED's site for the last several days. Seems they have everything fixed now. Now if they could just boost their CD rates. 5.35% CD or 5.15% savings... doesn't make much sense to choose the CD.
