BOA direct deposit

does anyone know if Bank of America accepts paypal for direct deposit since you have to have one with my account?

No offense but the question doesn't make sense.

I am assuming that you mean if you set up BOA as a linked account with your PayPal account? In which case, the answer is no. That would not qualify as direct deposit.

It seems odd to me. But that (as described on the linked site) "psuedo-direct deposit method" may very well work. It would bother me that the post you've linked to includes a warning to not try to confirm with the bank that they accept PayPal as a direct deposit. That's because they will likely tell you no. Still, the best way to know if you can make it work is to try it for yourself, I suppose.

Personally, I wouldn't bother. If you don't and can't have your paycheck direct deposited, then get a checking account that is free without requiring it or meet the minimum balance requirement at BOA. Sounds like to much of an unsure thing and a hassle to me.

Well it may very well work, however, it is (as described in linked post) a 'psuedo direct deposit method' that comes with a warning not to ask your bank about it. Sounds like a problem waiting to happen and a hassle to me. Of course, you could try it and find out for yourself.

I have to ask though, if you didn't have/can't have a paycheck direct deposited, then why did you get an account that requires it?

I'm just doing it for the $100, I have done this in the past with BOA for previous offers as well.
