Default Emigrant @ 5.00%

That was fast... but where is the new site? They said June.

They also increased their CD's to 5.35% but the shortest one you can get is 6 months now. Used to be 3 months. Too bad...

It's better than nothing, but I'm disappointed they didn't at least match HSBC's 5.05 yield. I have some money with HSBC, but the majority of my savings is with Emigrant. I wonder if Bank United is going to bump their rate. And then there is Amboy Direct and Presidential. It's great to have so many choices.

I haven't heard anything about Emigrant's new site since I got the letter announcing it would be up in June and that I would soon be receiving another letter with details for accessing my account. Sounds like a typical IT initiative.

LOL Emigrant is known for saying something and doing it later. Just like their credit card was late coming into existence. I believe HSBC is shaking them up with these sneak attacks on raising their interest rates! However, Emigrant will get their new website together and it will be nice I'm sure. I'm just glad that I am with both of these banks and not going to leave either one of them. Great to be a customer in these interest wars!

Thanks again Well-Manicured Man for keeping us abreast of the rise in interest rates!

They should learn from their mistakes by giving a longer time frame for when something new will appear. We were half-way through June when they sent the letters out. The letter should have indicated July or maybe even August. Then if they release something faster than they say it makes them look even better. They must like giving themselves tight deadlines.

And you're welcome for the updates.

Just a figure of speech. Today I'm not sure of anything, but I do have faith that they will only get better. Especially when my money is invested there.
