Citi's Ultimate Savings Account has dropped to 3.00%.

I recently opened accounts at OneUnited and ING.

I just put $250 in the ING account to get the $25 bonus, which is already in there. I plan on transferring all of that to OneUnited once the bonus money "vests" (Dec. 3rd).

OneUnited was a lot more strict on identity verification than ING was (not necessarily a bad thing, but it took much longer to open the account). Also, I made my OneUnited a joint account, and the other account holder has to send in their DL to verify. No big deal.

Both sites seem to have a straight-forward web-interface.

ING had more security "features" that needed to be setup for getting access to the account (not necessarily a bad thing either but gosh, 5 security questions???).

Anyways, thanks again Poundwise for the OneUnited recommendation. Let the high-yield saving commence.

Curses, Chase strikes again.

Wamu is down to 2.25%. Even less than ING now.

GMAC Money Market Savings is up to 3.25%.

Why no listing for their Online Savings Account? At 3.75% it is one of the highest returning savings available.

Thanks Buzz.

Poundwise the GMAC 3.75% APY looks like it meets listing criteria, they have no minimum balance as per this link: GMAC Bank : Online Savings Rates

I personally would question their solvency, but they are FDIC insured if I am not mistaken.

Looks like HSBC is 3% now.

Venturebankdirect is 3.6% now, as well.

Looks like all the tax payer money Cap One got was insufficient to fund their takeover of Chevy Chase bank. The Costco Cap One rates are now at the level their generally offered rates were at, but with Emigrant's Dollar bank holding fast at 4% my 50 basis pt rule has kicked in to motivate me to move on.

And I was recently thinking about moving my money over to the 10k+ CapOne Account. Oh well, I guess I will stay where I am for the time being and collect my 2.71%.

The only reason I remain with CapOne is their five star rating on Bankrate and their check writing/ATM perks.

Yea, I like the check writing/atm card features myself, or else I might move.

Let's hope this auto spike doesn't spiral as the mortgage meltdown did for other banks.

The online bank I use for our EF is FNBO Direct. Here's a link. They are paying 3.25% with no minimums.
