ING never disappoints with being the first one to drop.

And, when applicable, among the last to rise.

Darn it.... They also cut all of their CD's rates by .25%, so I guess I can at least be glad that I just bought my 2nd of 6 CDs that I'm building into a CD ladder over the next few months....

How very annoying.... ::sigh:: just another reminder that times are not as jolly as they have been.

Capital One has a rewards money market account that gives 2.5% and also gives miles (1 mile per $20). Sounds interesting. Anyone see any catch with this?

You are earning a lower rate on your balance than you could otherwise and what you get in exchange is miles rewards, which are becoming ever increasingly difficult to amass to a redemption level and to redeem.

My advice: See the listing on p.1 on this thread for many wiser and better alternatives.

Major update completed today. Several changes in rates and terms; notably, a few changes in minimum amounts to open certain accounts. A few accounts added.

Please review the new list. Your feedback, including any corrections, is appreciated.

Wachovia's High Performance Money Market Account. 3.5%
Wachovia Great Return—Grand Results

But, offer is only available for residents in AK, AR, HI, IA, ID, IN, KY, LA, MA, ME, MI, MN, MO, MT, ND, NE, NH, NM, OH, OK, OR, RI, SD, UT, VT, WA, WI, WV and WY. $1000 min.

Now that Wells Fargo is buying them, I wonder if they'll keep it around.
I can't find a page that describes fees or anything though.... I think they charge for outgoing transfers, but I'm not positive
