That's how I feel. I am holding on right now, but if they drop again in the near future, I'll have no choice but to move my money. It seems like they drop every time I check my account, which is quite often. We'll see what happens. Stay tuned . . .

Major changes 12/25/2007

I will no longer attempt to track online interest checking rates on a regular basis nor will I track CD rates. If anyone would like any help locating top CD rates, etc. then I'll be glad to help; as will others on this forum but, due to the time it takes to keep track of all of these accounts, this list will revert to concentrating on the online savings accounts available.

Adjustments made today:

AmTrust Direct down from 5.26 to 5.11 (still listed as a promo rate)
Savings Square down from 5.10 to 5.00
Apple Bank down from 5.00 to 4.90
M&T Bank down from 5.00 to 4.85
Key Direct down from 4.95 to 4.75
Ultima Bank down from 4.75 to 4.59
ELOAN down from 4.75 to 4.50
Emigrant Direct down from 4.75 to 4.65
Presidential Bank down from 4.60 to 4.40
Virtual Bank down from 4.38 to 4.03 (dropped from the listing)
HSBC down from 4.50 to 4.25
UnivestDirect down from 4.50 to 4.25
ING Direct down from 4.20 to 4.10

poundwise, thanks for all the work, I know how consuming it can be...sorry if this has been mentioned before (I searched and didn't see anything on it), but bankrate.com tracks all the rates as well, which could save you alot of leg work.

Bankrate is a nice resource but they do not track all the rates. In fact, there are several accounts tracked here that are not listed on Bankrate's high-yield MMA and savings account list. (Amboy Direct, M&T Bank, Key Direct, Shore Bank, etc.)

In addition, our list narrows the field a bit by not listing accounts offering below a certain rate or requiring high minimums for opening an account, earning the stated interest, or avoiding fees.

In any case, thanks for the compliment and the suggestion.
