Default HSBC paying 4.80%

Wow!! 4.80% at HSBC. Glad I decided to stay with them.

All of my money left for GMAC.

Maybe if the hotshot CEO didn't live in an ivory tower (see his comments on not needing the highest rate because customers are loyal) they'd still have it.

Don't get me wrong. I love HSBC and what they bring to the table. Being an international bank though, I think they missed two important things in their survey that resonate with Americans:

1.) Loyalty is gone in this country and
2.) Slow sucks

Point #2 is relevant insofar as their ACH transfers!

OneUnited Bank is still paying 5.00% APY with a $10 minimum to open & earn interest and no fees.

No, but they have a 4 star rating at Bankrate and are FDIC insured, etc.

One United sounds good to me! I just don't want so many accounts that I can't fund them adequately. We've been with HSBC and Emigrant for awhile. These 5% offers do sound appealing though!!
