HSBC Direct $25 Bonus vs Emigrant Direct Bank (Is ING even in the competition?)

They sent it for free, but I'm not sure why. I only have about 5 bucks in that account right now. After I opened it and realized who it was from, I assumed they had sent one to all of their account holders.

I Emailed and asked if I could have a bank. Haven't received anything back yet. It's great that we all can keep up with these things. Sometimes if you don't ask - you won't get anything.

Do you guys think it's worth it to move my 7K from ING to Emigrant or HSBC for the 5.05% rate instead of the current 4.50% from ING? I've never had a problem at all with ING, but it seems ING has no interest in competing rate wise.. what do you guys think?

I wish I'd seen and used this calculator before moving my money from Citi's MM saving to HSBC's MM savings to take advantage of their 6% promotion.
Frankly, the difference isn't it worth it to me. But, it's too late now. On January 31st, I moved my savings into HSBC where it stays until April 30th. After that, I may leave it in HSBC or move it back to Citi and lose three days interest and thus come out ahead by very, very little. So much for rate chasing for me!
