Swagbucks is legitimate. You use their search engine and earn points for every few searches. Usually the most cost effective reward is the $5 Amazon.com gift card. You can earn points by also: doing surveys, filling out questionable offers, finding "codes" posted on the facebook, blog, or elsewhere, through referrals and other ways. They probably sell your search history to make money, but so many companies are doing that these days that I figure they might as well be paying me.

BTW, if you are going to sign up, let someone refer you. They can get bonus swagbucks. (If you don't have someone to refer you, I'd love some more: Swagbucks.com )

SWAG...Souvenirs Wearables and Gifts. Swag refers to free stuff in the marketing world. I've earned about $70 worth of Amazon gift cards since I joined in April 2009. It is much easier to earn points now. I'm not avid user...thus I could have earned far more if I made more of an effort. It would be nice to earn $100 for this next Christmas!

I have a referral button on my blog.
