Default Valentine's Day Gift - Low Cost, But Lots Of Love

The perfect Valentine's Day gift doesn't have to cost a lot of money to show how you feel. In fact, there are a number of frugal Valentine gifts that you can give that don't cost a lot, but also don't leave you looking like a cheapskate. The key to all these is that you put a little thought and effort into the gift.

One of the simplest Valentine gifts that you can give won't cost hardly anything at all and show your love bright and clear. Whether it's the Valentine gift your give in itself or an extra something special added to another gift, there's no better way to express your love than by saying it in a variety of languages.

You can give a jar of love by cutting different colored paper into heart-shaped pieces. Write "I Love You" in a different language on each heart and place it in the jar. Pick out a nice ribbon to place around the jar and you have a wonderful jar of "Love" to give.

You can also make Valentine's Day last the entire month (or longer) if you want. Prepare again by cutting different colored paper into heart-shaped pieces and writing "I Love You" in a different language on each. Once finished, place each heart into a separate envelope. Beginning on February 1 you can place an envelope someplace where your partner will be sure to find it. The next day place another envelope someplace different, but again where it is sure to be found. Continue this for the entire month to make Valentine's Day into a month long event rather that a single day.

For those who want to be a bit more playful, you can create a scavenger hunt. In addition to the "I Love You" in a foreign language on each heart-shaped piece of paper, also include a clue where your partner can find the next envelope. Lead them on the hunt to find each envelope until they come to the final piece where "I Love You" is written in English.

Using your creativity, there are many more ways that you can use "I Love You" in different languages to make a memorable Valentine's Day gift. No matter how you ultimately decide to give the gift, it'll be long remembered and cherished by the person who receives it.

Close, but not quite right. Swedish for I love you is "Jag älskar dig". Thought you might want to know.

I know, but I don't have the European alphabet on my computer, so I had to do it without the special letter
