Default Stocking Stuffer Ideas - Kids

Many times stocking stuffers are left to the last minute and not given the same thought as the gifts under the Christmas tree. In addition, with the price of gifts and other Christmas expenses, there isn't always a lot of money left over for stocking stuffers. Even with those restrictions, nobody wants to give a bunch of cheap items to fill up the stockings. Here are some great inexpensive stocking stuffer ideas that will leave everyone with smiles on their faces.

Inexpensive Stocking Stuffers For Kids

1. Batteries: Instead of including the batteries with the toys, separate them into stocking stuffers. Since you'd need to purchase them anyway, they aren't an extra expense and the kids will love them because they can start playing any electronic devices they received. An extremely practical stocking stuffer that will also be appreciated.

2. Disposable Camera: There is nothing more fun than letting the kids document the day through their own eyes. They'll have great fun taking photos from their own unique perspective that will add to any photo album.

3. Watch: There is no better way to tell the time than with a favorite cartoon or action hero character watch. They're a great gift that can be had for a few dollars.

4. Art and Craft Supplies: Kids love to create. Any arts and craft materials make great stocking stuffers. Coloring books, crayons, colored pencils, markers and paints all fit the bill. If the child has a particular interest, you can focus the art supplies to that. Maybe origami paper for those that like to make figures or paper airplane designs for those that have an interest in that area.

5. School Supplies: Here is another practical stuffer that you would have to purchase at some point for your kids anyway. Any small school supplies that you know they will be needing anyway can top off any stocking.

6. Trading Cards: Not matter what your child's interest, there are probably trading cards out there with that theme. Buying a pack or two adds a bit of variety to the stocking.

7. Bubbles: An old time classic that is fun for everyone around and can be picked up for less than a dollar. You might want to pick of a battle for yourself so you can join in on the fun.

8. Favorite Snack: A favorite snack will always be well received. Whether it is a candy bar or a batch of cookies that you make yourself, favorite foods will always bring a smile.

9. Mini Games: Travel size editions of their favorite games. This has the multiple benefit that they can be used in the car to entertain the children during any trips you make.

10. Hobbies & Favorites: Getting any small item that relates to the child's latest hobby or favorite character can't be beat.

And some other possible ideas --

**Age-Appropriate Cosmetics
**Card Games
**Christmas Letter
**Diary or Journal
**Disposable Hand Warmers
**Dolls, Mini Stuffed Animals, Or Small Action Figures
**Fuzzy, Warm Socks or Slippers
**Handheld Games
**Matchbox Cars
**Miniatures (such as tea sets, doll furniture)
**Mittens or Gloves
**Puppets
**Puzzles
**Silly Puddy
**Snow Globes
**Stickers
**Stationery or Note Cards
**Super Balls

If you are still looking for ideas, take a quick trip to your local dollar store. There should be a large selection of goods and having them all right in front of you should help to find the perfect stocking stuffers.
