I will shop there on occassion for canned goods and spices, but it is out of the way to go there, so I don't make special trips.

My boyfriend and I just discovered Aldi's and we LOVE it. We get all of our canned items there. Also their frozen food and dairy selection is pretty good. We always bring in a tote to haul it all out.

One of the ways they keep their prices low is to carry only the most popular grocery items. That is why they don't have a very big selection. I think they only carry about 200 different items.

That would depend on how many you have to buy for and how often you go. I used to drive 60 miles to get to the closest Aldi. But I have 12 mouths to feed and I would only go once a month. Still way worth it. Saved $100 each time.
