Default Free $20 for grocery shopping

woohoo!! I usually don't like junk mail, but I received a card in the mail with 4 coupons of $5 off each for shopping at my local grocery store. It does say there is a minimum $30 purchase on each coupon, but that is still an automatic 15% savings on my groceries through March which I wouldn't have had otherwise.

Nice score! It's always nice to get little unexpected bonuses like that.

IF your store prints out coupons at the register (like when you use a savings card) look closely at them... about once every other month I get a coupon just for store use that is anywhere from 3.00 off to 10% off.

I had gotten good deals on that those coupons as well.

Also they have good coupon for community as well. I regularly get coupons for the local haricut place for the boys for haircuts for $6.95 compared to $9.95.

It wouldn't happen to be McCaffrey's? I got the same thing. Never been there though?

I think supermarkets are really trying to be creative in getting you to come to their store. We got two major chains here Shaws and Stop and Shop. Usually either one of them is running a $$ or a % off. Right now Shaws is saying if you spend $400 in the next month-you will get a $25 gift card. Hmmm don't know how good of a deal that is. I usually do not spend $400 in one month. I consider myself the above average consumer so someone who doesn't watch their dollars as much might say... Wow a great deal.

Keeping your price book is the best way to watch for the sales because I have a funny feeling that the sales are Shaws might not be too good for a month

I got the same thing for Wild Oats and used every one!! I shop on Wed. when I already get 10% off and they still let me use the $5 coupon! Plus..I forgot to bring in the last coupon and they told me to bring back the receipt with the coupon and they would give me the $5...I did and they did!! I wish these coupons could go on forever! :-)
