Default What can you buy at the grocery store for 25 cents?

Last night I was buying garlic bulbs to break up and plant in my garden. I needed to make a debit card use in order to fulfill banking terms, so I put one of the bulbs on debit, with no other items. I found out one bulb of garlic cost me 24 cents plus 1 cent tax!

What else can you buy at the grocery store for a quarter or less?

A couple of bananas, maybe?

Gee, I can't even think of anything at Aldi's that's only a quarter anymore!

The produce section would offer lots of options. Light things like mushrooms, salad greens and spinach would work. One banana would work, too. Wegman's used to sell store brand canned veggies for $.25 but they raised it to $.33 a while back. The bulk candy aisle in our store would work, too. In fact, recently my wife tried to buy just a few mini M&Ms to try them in a craft project. She put several in a bag, tossed them on the scale and it didn't even register. She added more and the total came to 8 cents. She could have gotten 3 times as many for a quarter.

Don't forget the little toy dispensers they keep by the door. Some are .25 cents and some are .50 cents.

unsweetened Koolaid packets
some stores have single serve string cheese you can get for .25.
sometimes Mac and cheese
corn muffin mix
bulk candy ( Brauchs)

If you also use a coupon for what you buy that opens up a ton of other things you can get for .25 or less.
