Default Do You Have a Chest Freezer?

I have saved tons of money on groceries with my freezer. It allows me to stock up when prices are low. You can get one for a $100-$150 or if your lucky even cheaper. If you have the space to put one they are a very good investmemt if you are trying to lower your grocery bills.
You won't have to pass up great meat sales because you have nowhere to store it.

Yes! I agree and you can cook and freeze meals to help too and stock up when things like fruits and veggies are in season. Make sure they are not too old though or you will loose the money you save in higher electric bills. I picked up a HUGE one for $100.00! Love it, though it is far from full.

We replaced our ancient one two years ago...finally went frost free. We didn't lose that much in electricity compared to the savings. But with the new one...couldn't survive without it, and it has MORE than paid for itself!

my mom has an old one that she will likely replace when it goes... we don't have space or use for it currently but i have to say that when i have a family i definately want one because they are very helpful... even moreso for my mom because dad is a fisherman and she freezes the fish he catches as well as meat she buys on sale... of course, she needs a lot of space as she is forever cooking... they have 2 upright fridges and the chest freezer...
