I rarely watch TV these days, especially since I don't get cable. I am watching Battlestar Galactica and Firefly on DVD, and enjoying both a lot. As far as network TV goes, I try to catch Arrested Development, but that's pretty much it.

I don't watch much television these days. I have been watching the ALCS because my beloved White Sox are still in it. The shows that I do normally watch are BattleStar Galactica and Stargate SG-1, and I try to tune in to Nightly Business Report on PBS almost daily.

Worth watching is relative, right now pregnant and tired I am not going to fill that time with anything 'mindful' so Lost is worth it to me.
DH finds sports to be worth it, but he is a guy....... (and he would prefer they were at a more convenient time) We both love movies, like blade, starwars, and other Scifi stuff. I prefer movies to TV cause I can watch it when I want, on my time frame (including frequent potty breaks!) |

It's a very bad habit, i've got i know. I once disconnected cable a few years ago to force myself to read more but now i've got it back, just the basic.
i bought a small Tv for the kitchen, and since i live alone, i really like having the news on while i'm preparing dinner. then i usually watch from 8 to 11 every weekday night! i know they're dumb, but i like the reality shows like wife swap and super nanny becus i find the characters (real life people) so interesting in their extremes of habit, like they'll pair super neat wifes with super messy families and so on. I also watch Lost, Desperate Housewives and anything else i come upon when browsing. I also am intrgued with the hope shopping channels becus i find it such an interesting way to market a product, very well done, the "hostess" makes you feel like you're having a chat with an old friend in their kitchen or something, just to get you to buy something. Being in marketing, i like to analyze their techniques. |

I don't have cable, which sort of limits my options. I like it that way though, because it prevents me from watching it just because it's there.
I probably watch about an hour a night anyway, mostly PBS. I have a few other programs I watch, like Sunday night Fox (Simpsons, Family Guy) and Threshold - which my boyfriend and I both like. Other than that, I'll generally come home, make dinner, and see if anything is on. If there isn't something on I'll read or do things around the house. |

I used to watch a few hours a day B.K. (before kids), but now I turn it off when they are around. I DVR everything and watch it at my convenience - only a few shows each week (Law and Order, Desperate Housewives, Will & Grace, Joey, and the Simpsons). I like to catch Extreme Makeover Home Edition too. SO I guess it comes to about a half hour per day, on average.

Now that we don't have cable we pop in movies most every night. I read while they are on and my hubby plays Russian square on the laptop. I think he likes the background noise, but I could do without it. At least even with it playing movies, we still communicate lots.

An hour or two most nights but not always. Depends on what's on. Some shows I like:
Threshold, Law & Order, Ghost Whisperer, Lost, CSI. |

Notre Dame games, the cable news channels, and the Sci-Fi Channel are usually what I watch. A couple of hours per week. It is mindless so I can just decompress from the work a day world!

6-7 hours a week.
Desparate Housewives West wing Medium Criminal Minds CSI Las Vegas With out a trace ER or Prime time live (if I can stay up that late, rare!) Numbers That is it. Oh and when I do watch it is really just listening because I am usually corcheting or needle pointing, and because we use rabbit ears and can't really get anything in clearly. |

I've tried to cut back on my tv watching, but I still watch way too much.
Sunday: West Wing, Desperate Housewives Monday: 7th Heaven Tuesday: The Biggest Loser Wednesday: Lost Thursday: Survivor, Everwood, CSI, ER (DVR to the rescue!) Friday: SuperNanny I rarely watch tv other than at night. I'm also right now working on the show S*x and the City from Netflix. I'm on Season 5 and loving it. ![]() Keeping It Frugal in TExas, Laura |

Desperate Housewives on Sunday nights
Usually at least one football game on the weekends ER on Thursdays when I remember Jeopardy at 7pm when I'm around The Daily Show and the Colbert Report when I can stay up late enough. Used to watch other Comedy Central shows like Reno 911 and Strangers with Candy. I used to watch Letterman and Conan when I worked at my last job, but I can't stay up that late now because I have to work at 7:30 most mornings! |
