~helping innumerable people die pain free and with dignity
~heimliched a guy in a restaurant but I couldn't get my arms around him because he was huge, so we had to lie him down and I had to straddle him. It worked but I got hit in the face with a brussel sprout, lol

-helping a friend get out of a bad marriage
-kids of course
-volunteering at shelters and food pantries to remember there are people worse off
-reading to the elderly at nursing homes

I'd like to think that I have given back something for which I have been given. That I am teaching my kids to appreciate what they have and realize that we are seriously blessed and have A LOT of everything. It's really hard sometimes and I think that more than what DH and I do or make our greatest accomplishment is being a good person and contributing to society as a whole and not being selfish. Hoping I raise two little people to believe the same.

Do you want that everybody knows about your heroic deeds? Is it interesting?

-Saving a man's life. Saw he was having problems and got him out of jail and to the hospital just in time as the team had assembled in the room he coded there. A week later he was back. I got a commendation from the warden for that. So, it felt extra good.

-Many of my actions as a nurse helped to keep lives living or have those that were dying have a peaceful death. I was a huge proponent of patients having a Do or Do Not Resituate on their charts when I was at a rehab hospital. Patients families thought they carried over from the acute care hospital to the rehab hospital but it had to be rewritten each time.

-Having two wonderful boys, and seeing my 'special needs' autistic boy, growing up to being a caring and loving man that is always ready to go an extra mile for someone.

-Keeping a bathroom in college so clean the professor that used it the most actually commented on it to me! Who would ever think of complimenting the person that cleans their bathroom?

I think it is important that we remember the good things we have done in life as there are so many that want to discount people and what they have done and tell them that they were never good enough. All of us need warm fuzzies.

I saved a client $10K worth of a financial headache.

I caught two burglars that stole my friend's car parts (by calling 911).

Finally graduating with my Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (after working as a nurse for 9 years) with NO STUDENT LOANS AT ALL!! Went to a community college and paid for that all out of pocket and then participated in a tuition reimbursement program with my employer where I had to agree to work for the system for 2 years after I finish (which I planned on doing anyway).

The day my first son was born

Anticipating another baby boy's birth in 6 weeks!
