Have you ever won a contest?

I won a laptop about 5 years ago; it was top of the line for that time. I got an e-mail letting me know, and I told people, and they thought it was so sad that I fell for a bogus e-mail. But I believed it, and so did they, when UPS delivered it. My dad's wife still uses it-we got good mileage out of it.

I've been trying to win one of the prizes from the Haggis Hunt on the Scotsman.com website for four years. I'm hoping that this year will be my winning year.

I won a lot of stuff when I sold tuppeware. I won a stereo (remember them) and a diamond ring all in the same day!

I won the doorprize at the market days event. $25 to spend at any vendor there. It took me over an hour to decide what to buy and I ended up with 3+ lbs of fudge. Of course, I'm wanting to go back on my diet, so this didn't help, but it was still fun.

You made a good choice, that is my favorite food! I won $100 at the dog track once, in the first race. Then I went home.

Just before Christmas 2005 I won a computer/ printer and a digital camera package for me and one for my daughter's primary school.

When I was in like 5th or 6th grade I entered some Nestle drawing and ended up winning a HUGE Simba stuffed animal (from Lion King).

Sometime in early middle school my grandpa brought me to play BINGO at his VFW and I won $50, that was probably about 10 years ago.

Maybe Summer of 2003 Dunkin Donuts had a huge promotion with their Iced Coffee, which I was becoming addicted to, and so I was entering the codes from all the cups, and I ended up winning a CD by MTV of artists they thought would be popular soon, and I won some movie soundtrack CD from a local radio station. Not very exciting gifts, but It was still exciting to win!

Jan 04, I won a "picnic" themed gift basket from a drawing -- which included plates, cups, silverware, napkins, a candle, a salt and pepper shaker in a nice linen-lined basket, maybe a couple other things.

We had a Casino night at my college last spring before graduation and we traded in chips for tickets to put in drawings. I won an espresso machine, a Jerry Maguire DVD, and a nice Thermos brand travel coffee mug that I use all the time!

This fall I won a doorprize at the local post office in Princeton, but it ended up being a very child-themed gift basket (some create-your-own fish game, a fish book, and stickers that you can color yourself) so I donated that to Toys for Tots in December.

I've won tickets to the local comedy club several times, while living in Rochester.

im still hopefull of online contests, i submit cause heck you cant win if u dont enter, but only ones ive actually ever won were in high school. i won two tickets and back stage passes to journey/bryan adams, and 100 dollars on wllz 98.7 fm in detroit mich which is a country station now i think.lol

I won a radio call-in contest, on my birthday, no less. It was a gift certificate for a travel agency... lost the gift card before I got a chance to use it.

I won a Donald Duck flashlight (when I was 12, or so). My brother broke it, the next day.


I've always considered myself lucky, yet I never really seem to win anything.
