how often do you get paid?
I always used to get paid semi-monthly, but now I get paid bi-weekly. I don't like it.
The 2 extra paychecks each year are nice, but I'd rather have the extra in my wallet each month. Plus I found it easier to keep track of bills and expenses when I knew my payday would be the 15th and 30th of each month rather than changing every month.

Re: how often do you get paid?
my spouse is paid every two weeks. my budget is made on the computer (no internet access for safety - use an old computer with floppies and lotus) for 4 years (to hubby's graduation with a law degree, i hope i hope). This works good, just key in the bills 7 days before the due date. The bills are repetative therefore there should be no surprises, just remember to account for the semi annual bills, and the auto oil changes.

Re: how often do you get paid?
I get paid by one company every 2 weeks & another 1 time a month so it usually works out pretty good I get a check almost every week well say 3 weeks out 4 which to me seems like about every week. Then dh gets paid every week. So its working out for us I hate going 2 weeks between my checks but now I work for 2 companies I like I said so it seems like I get a check every week.

Re: how often do you get paid?
DH gets paid semi monthly, he used to get paid every two weeks, and everyone said it would be so hard to switch, I dunno either way I know when the money is comming (and unfortunatly going .)
I would have trouble with a flex amount, like MaxMommy with the misc times of pay and stuff, I am just barely organized to pay bills as it is!

Re: how often do you get paid?
Now I'm paid every two weeks and it varies slightly due to my transit pass. At my last job it was once a month. It really wasn't that bad, but it made my account look horrible. Just to see the big dips and continual dips and then one giant spike.

Re: how often do you get paid?
I get paid on the 1st every month. That's it...unless I tutor or do ebay.
It wasn't too hard to get used to, and it actually works out just fine. I know what I start with, and it has to last the whole month.

Re: how often do you get paid?
I get 2x/month, DH gets paid once/month.
We put most of our living expenses on the credit cards (for the cashback and dividends) and then pay them off at month end, so it doesn't really matter to me when we get paid.

Hubbys get paid twice a month. I have commission checks from various companies that I do business with long.

I get paid on the 15th and 30th. The business also pays, but I don't touch that.

Re: how often do you get paid?
When DH and I were teaching we got paid 10 times a year - no checks in July or August.
Now DH gets paid every other week, and he writes a check over to me once a month. When the extra checks come in, he usually writes those over to me as well for savings.
Tutoring - most of my students' parents pay for anywhere from 2-10 sessions at a time, so those checks vary.

I'm in the same boat, however once the adjustment is made in the budget, the 2 extra paychecks can go straight to savings, I've got one of those extra checks coming in September.

As a teacher in New Zealand, I get paid every two weeks on a wednesday. When I lived in Canada, was paid once every month. I prefer to get paid fortnightly.

Re: how often do you get paid?
Dh and I are each paid every two weeks, opposite weeks, though, so we have a cheque deposited every Friday, which is nice.
I used to get paid the last day of the month, which I hated. We were always in a crunch by the 25th or so...

Re: how often do you get paid?
DH and I are both paid weekly. I think it would kill me if my company switched to any other schedule. I'm the one that does the payroll!
