DH and I are paid bi-weekly on the same schedule. DH's 2nd job is biweekly, but on the opposite weeks of our fulltime paychecks. Every week we get a paycheck.

I get paid every 2 weeks, and it suits my lifestyle fairly.

I get paid monthly, it used to be bi-weekly, at first it was nice to see the big amount going into the bank....but alas it still disappears just like it did when i was paid bi-weekly!

When I was paid once a month, I managed to save more but now, since I went freelance full-time and I receive payment once a week, twice a week or once in two weeks, I certainly spend more. I guess the solution is to work more, then I will have less time to spend money.

I suppose I have the ideal arrangement -- at least for me.

My primary income source pays at the first of the month. This covers household expenses, insurance and savings .

I also work a part-time job that pays weekly. That check covers groceries, gasoline and incidentals, all paid for in cash. When the cash is gone, spending stops. Usually, though, I have a weekly surplus.
