Default Seeking Charities To Sponsor

Here at SavingAdvice.com, we have always strongly believed that giving back is an important part of saving. We are therefore launching a monthly charity sponsorship for our discussion boards.

The monthly sponsorship is quite simple. We will donate a chosen sponsored charity $0.05 for every legitimate post (no spamming) made in our forums during the month we sponsor them. The more that everyone posts, the more the charity will receive up to $1000.00 for the month.

We are currently looking for a quality charity to sponsor for the month of August. If you know of a charity that you feel would be worthwhile for us to sponsor, please email us at info@savingadvice.com If you have any questions, please feel free to email us or leave your question here and we will answer it asap. As always, best of luck in all your saving.

Jeffrey & Nate

About how much can these charities expect to receive if you sponsor them? Are animal sites okay?

genchan,

Thank you for your question. Animal charities are fine.

If we had done this last month, the payment would have been $25.00 (about 500 posts by members). We hope, however, that the number of posts will significantly increase once we start the sponsorship.

1) Our site is growing at a quite rapid pace and that growth will bring more people posting as the months go on.

2) We have a large number of "lurkers" that visit our site. That is, members who look at the posts and articles and gather information, but don't post themselves. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that, but I am sure that a good portion of them will leave a comment or two while reading if they know their post will help a good cause.

3) We hope that members and supporters of the charity we are supporting that month will come to the site and post their questions and opinions to raise more money for the cause.

All these combined will hopefully mean we can donate a much larger sum that $25 to the charity we choose next month.
