What is your best money-saving tip for cat supplies?

I have five cats. Half of my money (after school and housing expenses) go to my babies.

I can't afford to give them up, especially since they are so much cheaper than psychologists.

Do you guys have any money-saving ideas for cat supplies?

There are a bunch of kitty freebies in the freebies section. If you've already gotten them . . .do you know anybody who'd be willing to have them delivered to their house? Maybe in exchange for a freebie you can't use?

If they arn't to old or declawed let them outside, the stray around here gets most of her food from hunting out back. And a bonus I don't have to worry about rodents comming to my house .

Are you sure putting cats outside saves money? : : If I put my cats outside I'll have to buy pet insurance....I won't be able to afford to go to the vet if the cats are injured or the cats got parasites and diseases from being outside.

I used to let my Sunshine outside but he got giordia and almost died. It cost me at least $200 to save him.

Also, if any of them are picked up by animal control, it would cost me $100 just to claim my cat.

Actually my cat started outside, so it would be cruel to make her stay in. And since she is an outside cat, she has the natural immunities (or at least as good as she can). I live in the suburbs, but the back of my house is woods, so plenty of room for her to roam/hunt .

WOW...I am jealous....

I live right next to a couple of alcoholic bars. I see dead animals (including cats) a lot in the middle of the road, hit by drunken students. I could never be able to let my cats outside.
