I just found this site today!

I"m a sahm to two dd's. Since we've been on one income I'm always looking for a cheaper way to do things & or cut back on costs so we have some spending money. I do participate in some various points sites & several freebie sites. Afterall, some months when things are super tight is when all those free samples come in handy

I'm lways on the look out for a great deal!

I've browsed this site more than a few times, but I keep losing it (silly bookmarks)... so I decided to finally register, hoping that perhaps that will help me find it again.

I was diagnosed with Hypoglycemia a couple of years ago, and had to quit working and drop out of school... so money being tight is an understatement.

My condition has encouraged me to become far more thrifty than I ever imagined I could be... but I couldn't do it without the help of this site (there's such an overwhelming amount of info on the web, it's impossible to navigate everything -- thanks for the helpful map).

Cool Re: Introduce Yourself

Hello, ya'll. I am a full time working mom to one, and wife (also to one!) I feel like it's time to gain control of my debt, which is seriously ugly. I'm going to switch forums and post some questions! Thanks.

I am called nimrod by my friends. I only use my PC to send emails and check on things like this one. I am always looking for things because I am on a fixed income. My hobby if you can call it that is playing Golf games on the PC. Nothing else to tell.

Hi - I've been lurking for a few weeks. LOL

I am retiring in 3.5 months (April 1,2006 - no, that is NOT an April Fools Joke it is my actual freedom date). In that time I want to pay off my lingering $1,700 cc debt. Should be doable.

House is paid for, and I'm paying on a cash basis for my DS to go to college.

I look forward to new friendships and lots of great ideas.

Debbie

Hello, my name is Jason, and I'm a spendaholic. I recently joined in order to learn some tips on how to be more frugal and to become more financially in control. I am 31, married, and the father of 3 beautiful, yet expensive children. I am a state employee so I do not make much money. I am a scorpio and enjoy slow, long walks along the beach. Nice to meet you all!

Hi all!

I'm new here and new to a committment of saving. (Attempts in the past but no real committments).

I am married with 3 kids and am trying desperately to save for a house . I live in California where nothing is affordable, so sometimes it seems like I'll never reach my goal.

I don't really have a goal amount at this point, but I am just getting started. My starting balance is $15.00 in my ING account. I have already seen many valuable pieces of advice here on this site. Thanks for the opportunity and I wish everyone luck on their personal goals.

Hi, my name is Julie. I did not learn anything about investing until I was in my 40's. It is so important to learn how to invest early. I would advise anyone as young as Andrew, to start saving now. As little as 2 dollars a day can make you a millionaire by the time you retire. When you have some cash saved, open up a good mutual fund (I like the Index ones) and send the money in every month. I did that at age 44 and have really built my funds up to a nice sum!

I am new here. Can I ask a question? What does DH stand for. I have seen it used a lot. At first I thought it was someone's initials, but I am sure it is not.

Dh is 'dear husband', so dd is'dear daughter', and ds is 'dear son' etc. I guess the 'd' could be darling...daring...divine...I should be putting ws for 'whiney son'--I think someone is Christmased out at our house!

Hi everyone! My husband and I have 10 kids, all living at home. We've gotten lax about our spending habits, specially in the area of groceries and that wonderfully vague, MISC..In looking around here, I see I've found a great place to gain ideas and encouragent as we tighten our belts and strive to live the better for it. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all!

Cool Re: Introduce Yourself

Hi! I'm Genny and I just joined.

My family moved to rural SD from Minneapolis 2 1/2 years ago.

We are so happy because we sold our little house in the cities and bought a three bedroom home for $20K and paid cash.

Now all that is left is to pay off our student loans and a small amount of CC debt. We own our own software business and I work parttime as an office manager for a meat packing plant in town. My commute is five minutes.

Our lives are a lot different. While I miss a few things about Minneapolis, our lives are a lot less stressful. It is much easier to practice frugality here too.

I look forward to spending time here.

Hello everyone, my name is Sharon. I have no idea how I found your site but I am quite intrigued by it. I have always considered myself to be financially savvy but I have already learned quite a bit from surfing your site in the past two days.

I am a registered nurse and I am married with two kids. I'm completing a master's degree so I have student loans I need to pay off but I am looking forward to getting back on track financially.
