I am new, I'm a mom to three children, ages 6, 7 and 8. I used to be SO GREAT at shopping for bargains and keeping everything in check. Now it feels like if I blink, I've lost control of everything. I go into Walmart, and instead of sticking to my list, I leave with milk, new jeans for my 6-year-old, a new pillow, and of course, everything I started out needing. Costco is even worse because I can't seem to spend less than $300 a pop.

On the positive side I write professionally from home, I run a business that promotes a new national grocery chain that promises lowest price in America, and I love my Tennessee Walking Horse.

Smile Introduction

As you can guess by my signature I am the saver and my husband is the spender. We have a 4yr old boy who is a complete handful. I work in the banking industry and my husband is in healthcare. I have been in the saving mode since 2005. My husband has been pulled into saving kicking in screaming out of necessity. I have been reading the forum for a little while and decided it was time to join. I know some, but will never know all, about saving money. Thanks everyone

Um, I just realized I started posting without introducing myself. So, here I am. I work in the loan business (you can probably guess that from my user name) but I'm just a lowly peon. I'm more interested in being here because of the good information on saving, frugal living, getting out of debt, and other things that look really useful for my personal life.

Wow, I totally missed this post! Anyways, I actually found this forum by doing a Google search on debt discussions. I am about 2 years into a debt consolidation program with about 18 months to go. I am 37 years old and hope to have the credit cards and both cars paid off by my 40th birthday. So far, so good! Glad I found this forum and love the advice on here!

Default Hello from: Brooklyn New York - Not sure if...

...this is the right thread to post introductions. For obvious reasons, I am new and I need to learn about the ins and outs of this particular forum. One thing for sure though is this, I definitely look forward to networking with some smart folks here. Take care for now.

My name is Josh, and I happened to stumble upon this forum a few weeks ago. It seems like you've built a nice community here, and I look forward to participating from time to time and helping out in any way I can.

For fun, I rock climb and love to travel - especially in Asia where things are dirt cheap! For work, I run Creditnet.com, a free resource for consumer credit education and product recommendations. So, I hope to be able to provide some insight specifically related to questions about credit and debt.

Thanks for having me.

Josh

Default Hello Everyone!

Hello Everyone...

My name is Patrenia Spears and I've been lurking here in the forums for a while just getting a feel for how things run around here . I have made a few comments to get my feet wet, not new to forums, but it's like being at a party making new friends.

My story is that my husband and I worked our way out of about $93,000 worth of debt for 3.5 years and became debt free in 2008. It's been a wild ride. I'm a new blogger as well, but will not name the website to follow the rules. I definitely look forward to the interaction and making great contribution here.

As you can see, I write most of the content for the site. I honed my money saving skills living in Japan (where I still am at the moment, but I'll be returning to the US this summer) where prices can be quite outrageous at times. I started writing articles for foreigners living in Japan on how to save money and it was picked up by several magazines out here...and the rest is history. That is how my finacial and money saving writing started.

I did teaching out here for a long time, but now survive doing eBay full time...this allows me to stay home and I've turned the one time hobby into a respectable income source. I have a auction article currently up that gives the basics for those who want to turn ebay into a business and should be adding quite a bit more over the next few months.

I'll leave it at that for now...if you hang out in the forums much you'll eventually learn more than you probably want to about me

Jeffrey
I am interested about making in ebay. Is it difficult and how could start? I like cameras, lenses and I also like books.
