Default Looking for a type of program.

I'm looking for a very simple money saving program where you can set an amount to save for, then whenever you save money towards that set amount, you input it into the program, and there is something visual, like maybe a progress bar. It may sound pointless but I think this would help me alot to save money.

I was thinking about the good ole' days when I use to have dialup and wondered how I could sit there and stare at the download bar for days and days waiting for something to finish downloading. Then I realized it was because I had a visual idea of when I would actually get to use whatever it was that I was downloading. So I knew it was possible for it to finish, it just would take very long. I think this would apply nicely to a saving technique. Does anyone know of a program like this?

Just the other day I was getting mad at my antispyware program. Because there was no bar! the thing taks the least amount of time of any of the programs but htere is no bar so no way to know just on average how much is left. Then I ran the other one, with a bar that takes like seconds to get to 90some % then a minute to finish, why seeing 90some percent done made me happy when I knew it was going to take a minute to finish is a bit psycologicaly weird. But hey it works!

BTW no sorry I don't know of a program but I know excel will make a graph for you if you ask it too. not that I know how to do that anymore but the little helper guy told me how once. Took like an hour the first time (but I am not to excell savy)

Ah, what the heck

I just whipped this one together real quick. Is it kind of what you're looking for?

Download your savings progress tracker

Make sure you save it, and don't just open it in your browser - might cause problems.

I have a hard time even setting savings goals (my goal is pretty much "save all I can"), but I still think your excel sheet is pretty cool anyway. I bet it's just what Samio is looking for!

Hopefully. It was kind of fun. Macros would make it even better...but the time was a factor.
