Hi all,
So I bought lunch with my CC on 9/2/11 and my CC still hasn't been charged - should I contact the company that issued the card? Or the lunch spot? Or just let it go and assume they will catch it eventually (ie, keep it as "spent" in my records)? Or what other option would be best? The charge was for $6.25... Thanks! |

I wouldn't waste your time making calls quite yet. Account for it in your own personal records and give it some more time. Most likely it will show up on your credit card statement. If it never does, then it's up to you to decide if you want to follow up with the place you had lunch or not.

I wouldn't do anything for a charge that small. Even if the charge suddenly shows up 6 months from now, I would hope that it would be insignificant to you from a budgetary standpoint. The time you would waste chasing this down is worth a lot more to you than $6.25.

Thanks all, I'll just keep it as spent and not worry about it too much! I was just concerned because the place usually only takes 1-3 days to post but as disneysteve said, it's really not a huge budget deal and it's not the first time my numbers haven't matched my CC, as long as I know the money could go away, it's fine.
