Here in Pittsburgh, we had some clouds and a light breeze on Sunday Morning. It looks like the outermost cloud bands of the storm were about 50 miles east of the city.

I live about 10 miles west of Philly. We had a lot of rain throughout the night, but winds weren't as strong as predicted. My apartment neighbhors on the bottom floor got flooded due to torrents of water, but we didn't lose power. No downed trees in my town. The Schuykill river near where I live flooded its banks about 10 feet and a few of the nearby buildings were under a foot or so of water. The next morning it was business as usual (sans the flooding). People were out by the river taking pictures of the flood of water.

Everything is fine where I am in MA. We didn't even lose power, so we were VERY lucky! Where my mom is in NH? Not so great. The main drag where all the shopping centers are got flooded. Lots of stores closed and people out of work - including my mom. Water at her store was up past the registers. Tough blow for that area.

I was just THERE a week ago! Shopping in those stores that are now flooded.

DH has his power back on today...just shy of 48 hours without power. He's relieved.

I think the power situation is what's most unnerving. It feels strange to not have power for over 36 hours and counting.

JasminH....
Isn't it wierd how easily we take things for granted. After Isabelle a few years ago, we were without power for 9 days. I never got so tired of hearing a generator run in all my life.

Irene this time around, only lost power for about 13 hours. Good thing I cut down those 14 large pine trees that left a mess to clean up after Isabelle. Only had a few small twigs, and lots of shredded leaves to clean up. So all in all, good...
